50 g potatoes

50 g onion

1 garlic clove

½ teaspoon cumin powder

½ teaspoon turmeric powder

500 ml chicken or vegetable broth




  1. In a pan or pot, add a generous drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Add finely chopped garlic and diced onion. Peel the potato and add it sliced. Season with salt and pepper and cook until golden.
  2. Add the pumpkin cut into small pieces and then add the spices one by one. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the broth and cook until everything is tender.
  4. Transfer everything to the blender and blend until smooth and lump-free.
  5. Serve in a bowl and garnish as desired. You can drizzle with a bit more EVOO, add nuts, chopped ham, or cheese.
