The regularly council
The Regulatory Council is the result of a project to request a Designation of Origin for the extra virgin olive oils from the region of Estepa and Puente Genil, as they are recognised worldwide for their age-old history, tradition and quality.

The Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Estepa was set up on 21 February 2003.

Recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture
The Ministry of Agriculture, the highest competent body in this field at national level, officially recognises the Designation of Origin Estepa
2010
The European Union endorses it
Finally, the European Union endorses our entity in October 2010, going from being a designation of origin to being a Protected Designation of Origin
The varieties covered by the Estepa Protected Designation of Origin are Hojiblanca, Arbequina, Manzanilla, Picual and Lechín.

Reconocido oficialmente el 24 de septiembre de 2004 por la Junta de Andalucía.

La Unión Europea lo avala
Finalmente la Unión Europea la avala en octubre del año 2010, pasando de ser una denominación de origen a ser Denominación de Origen Protegida.
