The oils produced by Olivarera de Casariche SCA are protected under the most demanding Designation of Origin for the certification of an extra virgin olive oil.
The Estepa Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) has the world’s most stringent criteria for certifying an extra virgin olive oil, and it protects the oils produced in 13 towns within the Estepa region (Comarca de Estepa) (Seville) and Puente Genil (Córdoba). This is a territory with a thousand-year-old tradition in olive cultivation, possessing soil and climate conditions that allow for the production of oils with a unique, globally recognized personality.
Both Integrated and Organic Production rely on a set of agricultural and production techniques that are environmentally friendly to obtain high-quality products. This is achieved through the rational use of natural resources, especially water, while simultaneously preventing, among other things, the erosion of our soils. This guarantees sustainable agriculture in the long term and helps to leave behind a more liveable planet tomorrow.

Everything begins around the olive tree, where our farmers have an agricultural technician for every 2,500 hectares of olive groves (25 technicians in our territory) for advice and control of the different tasks required for daily cultivation. These technical controls detect potential diseases and pests that may affect the olive tree and its fruit. If necessary, the technicians recommend specific actions to combat pests or diseases. These are always carried out while protecting the environment’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the harvested fruits are free of any phytosanitary residues. To this end, only active substances authorized for this crop are used in the olive grove, and only at the doses and times indicated within a regulation.
