The D.O.Estepa stars in a «blind tasting» in the presentation of the coupon of «Sabores de la Provincia de Sevilla»

The extra virgin olive oil covered by the Estepa Designation of Origin has been one of the protagonists of the presentation of the coupon that the National Organization of the Blind has dedicated to the brand «Sabores de la Provincia de Sevilla», which will be the reason for the draw of the September 18.

After the official presentation of the coupon by the president of the Diputación, Fernando Rodríguez Villalobos, and the territorial delegate of the ONCE in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, Cristóbal Martínez Fernández, took place a tasting «blind» aimed at all people who had attended the event.

Participants had to place a completely opaque mask before taking the tasting, with the aim of raising awareness about the reality of blind people and their experience in tasting any type of food. One of the most outstanding products was the extra virgin olive oil of the Steppe Denomination of Origin, in which attendees had to describe its fruity, bitter and spicy, the organoleptic qualities that are detected in an AOVE tasting.

In addition to the D.O.Estepa also participated in the «blind tasting» of the Association of Wines and Liqueurs of Seville and the Regulatory Council of the IpOS Manzanilla and Gordal of Seville, who completed an original experience to promote knowledge of wealth province of Seville, the strength of its agri-food industry and industrial tourism.
